Unity Family Services was founded in 2007 in response to the unique challenges faced by black, ethnic minority and Muslim families in Glasgow particularly in areas such as family law, mental health, relationships, and social integration.
Through extensive research, community feedback, and partnerships with other service providers, it became clear there were gaps in local support. Particularly when it came to services that understood how faith, culture, and family all connect.
This understanding allowed Unity Family Services to develop a holistic and culturally sensitive approach to support these families, ensuring their specific needs are met with respect and expertise.
Central to the work of our team, who have an intimate knowledge of the Muslim community and its problems, is the belief that the family unit is the most fundamental part of a healthy society.
Our education & prevention events & workshops are tailored to address key challenges facing Muslim communities. Through online & in-person sessions with leading experts, we equip individuals & families with the knowledge, resources, & support needed to navigate complex social & personal issues.
We provide scholarly advice and guidance, offering individuals confidential and spiritually informed support. Our sessions are designed to assist those seeking clarity on personal, familial, or ethical matters, ensuring a non-judgmental and transparent space for meaningful discussions.
