Unity Family Services successfully hosted their much-anticipated Transformative Parenting Workshop at Andalus, Glasgow. The event brought together a passionate community of parents eager to unlock the secrets to reaching their child’s subconscious, build stronger relationships, and navigate the complexities of modern parenting.
Led by Shaykh Amer Jamil, an esteemed Islamic Studies Teacher specializing in Islamic Family Law, and Sumble Qureshi, a parenting coach with over 30 years of experience, the workshop was designed to provide valuable insights and practical techniques to help parents feel more confident and secure in their parenting abilities.
The session was rich with actionable strategies that addressed common parenting challenges today, including behavior management, social media addiction, and the navigation of issues surrounding LGBTQ+ identities and gang culture. Parents were encouraged to embrace new approaches that foster open communication, discipline, and a positive family environment.

The workshop emphasized the importance of understanding a child’s subconscious mind—a crucial but often overlooked element in parenting. Participants learned how to connect more deeply with their children, regardless of their age or unique challenges, empowering them to create lasting bonds built on respect and mutual understanding.
The interactive format included an open Q&A session, allowing attendees to receive personalized advice directly from experts. This was especially appreciated, as many parents shared personal concerns and sought guidance tailored to their family dynamics.
One of the standout aspects of the workshop was the sense of community it fostered. Attendees found comfort in sharing experiences and learning from one another, reinforcing the idea that parenting is a journey best navigated together. Unity Family Services successfully created a safe and supportive environment where questions could be asked freely and diverse perspectives respected.
